Come join us this Friday, May 10th for our annual Hot Art Cool Nights art hop! From the commercial buildings that line Government Street is emerging a uniting force that lends the part of town known as Mid City a heart and soul. It’s art, and it’s back, en masse, when the Baton Rouge Mid City Merchants present the spring progressive art hop “Hot Art, Cool Nights” in dozens of shops and restaurants throughout the neighborhood. Thousands come out to enjoy exhibits of original, local art by well-known artists and new talents; in media including painting, sculpture, jewelry design, art photography and more. In most cases, participating artists will be out and about, too, to introduce their work and chat with passers-by. A nice feature of the hop is the presence of free shuttles that ferry folks from stop to stop, so park somewhere and proceed accordingly. See you there!
